East Tennessee’s strong commercial real estate market got the attention of the News Sentinel on Friday, in a story that focused on NAI Knoxville’s 3rd Quarter market report.
Brian Tapp, a retail specialist with NAI, cited the high demand for spaces on Kingston Pike, which is driving up prices and driving down vacancy rates.
“Everyone wants to go on Kingston pike, and it’s so expensive, you end up seeing a lot of mattress and cell stores because they can pay the rent,” Tapp said. “That’s why you get (shopping centers) like Kingston Corner off Kingston and Cedar Bluff where you’re close and prices are a little better.”
